The fruit for A.Retief is carefully sourced from vineyards in the Canberra District and the Hilltops as well as the Retief family vineyard in the Gundagai wine region of NSW.A.Retief is a combination of Old and New World philosophies, where the focus is on the vineyard and the aim is to produce quality wines of elegance and finesse.

The winemaking is old fashioned, where each parcel of fruit is treated separately and thoughtfully and the final blend is only put together a couple of months before bottling.
