Overlooking the breathtaking seascape of Marion Bay and Maria Island in South Eastern Tasmania, Bream Creek is one of the first commercial vineyards planted in Tasmania which produces some of the finest boutique wines. The original consortium in 1973 planted 5 hectare of vines consisting mainly of Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon, with some Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer.
Owned and run by Fred Peacock, who is perhaps one of the most seasoned and experienced viticulturists in Tasmania. So his understanding of managing cool-climate vineyard forms the basis for delivering quality small batch wines. Worth seeking out his 'Schonburger' grape variety to try something rare and different.
