Grampians Estate has established an iconic reputation for its cool-climate peppery shiraz. It sits alongside other great names within the Grampians Wine Region; Seppelts, Mount Langi Ghiran, and Best’s, the current holder of the famed ‘Jimmy Watson’ Trophy. Two vineyards provide the secret to its success: the eight acre Mafeking vineyard, first planted in 1989, is located south of the Great Dividing Range alongside the Grampians National Park, whilst the Great Western St Ethels vineyard features some 130 year-old shiraz vines. Tom and Sarah Guthrie and their team nurture their shiraz, chardonnay and riesling vines with the goal to produce the best premium wines from their onsite winery.
