Mac Forbes is an engaging young winemaker with extensive experience across several facets of the wine industry. He has settled into the Yarra Valley and Strathbogie Ranges, where he is steadily refining his approach - with chardonnay and Pinot Noir especially - to craft wines of ethereal fragrance and elegance from what are largely very cool vineyard sites, but also with adequate structure and substance.
