Cowra Estate, established in 1973, contains some of the oldest chardonnay plantings in Australia. Grapes from old vines have more depth and intensity compared to younger vines.
The mineral enriched soil from broken down granite over alluvial loam and the fresh water from the Lachlan River allow the grapes to produce distinctive and intensive flavours. Wines from Cowra Estate regularly win awards, which show the consistency of their wines and their dedication to outstanding quality.
