Granite Belt Highlands Winery started trading its supreme liqueurs in September 2005.Our range of fruit liqueurs, wines and creams are made from locally sourced products. They are made from the unique fruit flabours of the Granite Belt, and unlike others, there are no added preservatives.Mark Winkler, a third generation wine maker, is rediscovering his European Heritage. His grandfather Johannes (John) came out from Germany in 1927 and started to make his own wine in his own vineyard in Pendall Hill. In turn his son Konrad made wine from Wha-Tobe in Glen Aplin, where he sold it by the barrel directly to the North Queensland cane cutters. They would regularly return the empty barrels to be refilled, again and again.
