Gundog Estate is a boutique wine producer owned and operated by the Burton family. Their passion for high quality, regionally distinct wine has inspired us to pursue two of Australia’s most unique and highly acclaimed wine styles; Hunter Valley Semillon, and Canberra Shiraz.

Winemaker, Matt Burton (2010 Hunter Valley Rising Star of the Year) is passionate about single vineyard wines, regional expression and premium grape varietals. He believes well made wine should clearly reflect where the fruit is grown, and tell a story about the particular vineyard and season. He is driven to produce wines that are true to the terroir.
