Constellation Wine Australia has separated its premier Arras sparkling wines from the rest of its folio, creating a boutique sparkling label, the House of Arras. What was known as the Bay of Fires Arras Chardonnay Pinot Noir has now become the Arras Grand Vintage, which is joined by a wonderfully meaty and complex Arras EJ Carr Late Disgorged. The newer entry-level Arras, a non-Grand but Vintage sparkling, is long, shapely and very elegant. Winemaker Ed Carr stands at the pinnacle of quality sparkling wine in Australia, with his combination of masterful cool climate site selection, and remarkable patience in bottle age delivering wines of exceptional elegance, texture and persistence.
