Koltz

Koltz is a small winery located in the cooler Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale. The winery is their own vineyard and they make their wine using very traditional methods. Hand picking, small open fermenters, hand plunging, extended maceration and basket pressing are utilized to produce hand crafted wines.

Winemaker Mark Day has worked in McLaren Vale for nearly 25 years and has also spent 9 vintages working in Europe, particularly in Italy. This experience has naturally influenced the wine making and they try and produce wines which are Australian in nature with Italian influences.
