Koonara Wines

Koonara wines is a family owned business run by the energetic Dru and Nicole Reschke. It takes its name from the historic family property in Coonawarra. In 1906, Henry Albert and Alice Jane Reschke came to Coonawarra to build a life for their family. Nearly 100 years on, the family still live in Coonawarra.

The cattle stud on the property is still here, but the vineyards and wine have been the focused passion since 1988. Their Ambriel's Gift Cabernet, Ezra's Gift Shiraz and the Marquise Chardonnay deliver excellent quality in that $20 - $40 price bracket. Well worth a visit to their Cellar Door on the main street of Penola for a range of local produce, including organic teas, olive oils and many other nicknacks.
