Long Rail Gully Wines

Established in 1998 by barrister Garry Parker and his wife Barbara, this is very much a family-run operation, with son Richard looking after the vineyards and winemaking side. With around 60 acres under the vine the focus has historically to supply contract fruit for the likes of Hardy's aswell Clonakilla and Eden Road. Cool-climate Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot and Pinot Noir being the main drivers, but also small quantities of Riesling and Pinot Gris.

The Parkers do produce small quantities under their own label, which can be tasted and purchased at the winery by appointment. The Shiraz in particular shows the enormous potential from the region as fragrant, cool-climate, medium bodied 'Rhone-style' example of the variety.
