Established in 2004, Maverick owns 100 acres of vines in four sites across the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. Approximately half of the vines are over 50 years old, and many much older. With the exception of the Trial Hill Riesling, which is already performing at a very high level, the wines are very polished and handsomely oaked, but appear to have been harvested beyond the point of maximum freshness. They might also be a little better conserved in the cellar.
