Penny's Hill is a relative newcomer to McLaren Vale that has deployed the experienced duo of David Paxton and Ben Riggs to create its wine. All the fruit used for its wines is estate-grown, and the range includes a typical McLaren Vale mix of shiraz, grenache, semillon plus a 'Specialized' release of shiraz, cabernet and merlot. From 2008, there will be three different shirazes from this maker: Cracking Black, The Skeleton Key and Footprint.
