Pyren Vineyard

Pyren Vineyard is a small-scale, family focused producer of cool-climate wines.The vineyard is planted with 50 acres of Shiraz across some step and rocky undulations on the northern slope of the Warrenmang valley. Twenty-five acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot form a distinct block lying across a gentle rise. Small quantities of Viognier and Durif are planted on the valley floor.Soils are predominantly the silty clays typical of the area and weathered bedrock, with a high load of gravel. On the highest blocks, there are exposed quartz seams that have been broken up by the planting process. The vineyard
