Tim Knappstein is one of the most experienced of South Australia's active winemakers. Having made, and then sold, his name in the Clare Valley, he was one of the pioneers of the Lenswood subregion in the Adelaide Hills, making wine under a series of different labels. Under the Riposte banner are some finely crafted wines that show that even after a few decades in the saddle, Tim Knappstein is as committed as ever to the making of high-end wine.
