Located on the grounds of Werribee Park, Shadowfax is steadily acquiring vineyard sites and long-term relationships with growers all over Australia to provide its diverse range of regional specialty wines. They're all very competently made by Matt Harrop; typically spotlessly clean and very true to variety and region. Of most interest to me are the two Heathcote shirazes, especially the refined, elegant, silky and deeply flavoured Pink Cliffs from 2002. The second wine, the curiously named One Eye, is a little more assertive and rustic.
