Tallarook makes interesting and complex white wines of which the sumptuous and entirely unsubtle 2008 Marsanne is perhaps the finest ever. This wine, like the other fine Tallarook whites of the past, reveals the depth of fruit to handle the significant level of artefact acquired through the winemaking process. All or some of this may now change, since Tallarook has recently been acquired by Helmut Konecsny, also the owner of Rochford. Watch this space.
