Te Aro Estate

Over the past 90 years many a Fromm family member have been referred to as a 'character' of some sort. Take Charlie and Minnie for example, who founded the TeAro Estate vineyard by planting Semillon and Shiraz back in 1919 with their bare hands and the use of a single crow bar.

Their strength of character has filtered through each generation thereafter with a sense of pride and love for the land and the vines. It is our ancestors that have inspired our tag - 'It takes great characters to make great wines', and, in the 3 generations since dear Charlie and Minnie, we have continued what they started almost a century ago.
