Whicher Ridge started searching for just the right site to plant a vineyard in 2002, and eventually found their property at Chapman Hill in 2003. The Whicher Ridge brand ideas crystallised into a plan to build up a range of five regional wines for release in 2009.
After much research, in 2004 and 2005 they planted three of Bordeaux's great varieties, sauvignon blanc, petit verdot and cabernet sauvignon, as well as a lesser known Rhone variety, viognier in their Odyssey Creek vineyard.
